We are proud to serve Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.
What separates your food truck from the rest?
Our food truck serves farm to table fare that not only is delicious, but helps support other local businesses. Our heavily vegetarian options will satisfy veggie and meat eaters alike, changing menus with the seasons to reflect the incredible produce we have here in Hampton Roads.
What did you do before you owned a food truck?
I come from a pretty diverse skill set - I apprenticed in a New York steakhouse for 6 months before transitioning into the role of lead baker/pastry chef in a Bakery on Long Island for
4 years. I then pursued my other passion, education, and got my masters degree in Early Childhood/Childhood education. I became a Kindergarten teacher from 2015-2022. My love for cooking and baking called me back, and after going through the pandemic and losing my father, I did what he always told me to do and followed my dream to own my own
food business.
What do you like most about having a food truck?
Food trucks have the ability to truly serve the community, to bring your food out into the world and serve things that people maybe haven’t had the chance to try before. I love being able to create a menu that reflects our environment and catering options to specific events.
Where did the name of your food truck come from?
The Silver Fox was my father’s nickname. I lost my father, my hero, to COVID in 2020. He was my biggest supporter, and the one who always told me to follow my dreams.
Why did you decide to join HRFTA?
After doing research in the Food Truck community, the HRFTA seems like an incredible opportunity to come together and work as a team for this unique group of entrepreneurs and food lovers. We would love help (and one day, to help!) in building a portfolio of events.
Why did you decide to open a food truck/get into the food truck business?
We wanted to begin a business that we can take into our own hands. To own something and build from the ground up. I always believed that the most selfless thing you can do for another person, is to cook them a meal.
