Where are you based and what cities are you permitted?
We are based in Virginia Beach. We are licensed in Norfolk, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.
What separates your food truck from the rest?
We make all treats are made fresh in our  store daily. We use Fresh Fruits & Real Sugar in our Italian Ice.  Our Old-Fashioned Custard is Hand-crafted in small batches and is  available in over 30 flavor combinations.
What did you do before you owned a food truck?
My husband is active duty military and I have 20+ years in the hospitality industry working as a Director of Sales & Market.
What do you like most about having a food truck?
Being my own boss and teaching our daughters to be independent and  driven leaders. We love our customers and have really enjoyed getting to  know people at the events.
Where did the name of your food truck come from?
Rita’s Ice is a franchise out of Philadelphia and we are proud to be part of such a reputable company.
Why did you decide to join HRFTA?
The association is a wonderful group of people with decades of  knowledge. They organize fun events and promote catering. The members  have been working hard on creating a harmonious relationship between  food trucks and breweries, corporations, municipalities and restaurant  owners. It’s a positive group of like-minded individuals who come  together to raise each higher.
Why did you decide to open a food truck/get into the food truck business?
Owning a food truck allows me and my family to meet fun people and cultivate professional and personal relationships.
